Camera with Wide-angle Lens
This summer Kodak released the P880 which has a built-in wide-angle lens suitable for shooting interiors. The P880 also has a hot-shoe for attaching an external flash, which you will need if you are serious about taking interior photos. This camera appears to be Kodak's camera for shooting interiors.
The Kodak P880 and the CoolPix 8400 are the only fixed lens digital cameras I'm aware of that have 24mm lenses. All other fix lens cameras need wide-angle adapters to get down to 24mm and then most fix lens camera don't have hot-shoes so these two cameras are worth noting. They both are around $450 to 500 street price.
I've never used a Kodak camera (except the Kodak Brownie I used as a kid in the late 40's) so I don't know how the build quality is. Anyone used Kodak recently? For the full details on the P880 see the dpreview.com info.

Larry, does a hot shoe flash connector on the Kodak P880 mean that's an extra piece to buy? What is a hot shoe flash? Also, is a 8 megapixel overkill for MLS downloadable photos? Is it easy to adjust to right size? I can buy it for $509+ tax at Dell since I've bought
computers there ($599 at kodak.com) and I'd buy Easy share dock at Kodak.com.
With Kodak's P880 & Easy Share Dock that looks like the best camera for someone like me. Does it matter if I buy this camera from Kodak direct with accessories or would buying from a Best Buy type store work as well? Would there be a price difference?
What the hot-shoe connector is, is a way to attach an external flash unit to the camera. For the best interior photography you need an external flash (built-in flashes are not powerful enough for interiors) and the hot-shoe is where you attach the external flash.
I buy all my camera equipment from www.bhphotovideo.com/ in NY. They are not always the cheapest but they are reliable and their online purchasing works smoothly. If you want the absolute lowest price go to www.pricegrabber.com and type in the brand & model # you are looking for the you will get a list of the lowest prices at the time.
